In almost all sports, physical performance is the first and most commonly used determinant of an athlete's ability and calibre. As such, most top athletes would have not only superior physical/technical skills specifically applicable in their sports but also peak physical capacity that would give them the extra edge in executing those sports-specific skills.

Physical capacity covers a wide range of elements, with the common ones being speed, strength, agility, and endurance. In order to advance your game to the next level,  it is important to first determine how your physical capacity measures up against your competitors as well as against elite athletes in your or other comparable sports. At the Effectus Sports Performance Lab, we use top-of-the-line technology, STATSports, to provide you with a baseline assessment of many important and relevant metrics such as your speed index, average heart rate while in motion, fatigue index, and much more.

With the baseline assessment, we can tailor a development plan to work on your specific areas of limitations, improve your overall physical capacity to perform, and monitor your progress over the development periods. Each athlete's development needs and progress speed will be different.

Through top of the line technology, STATSports, we can provide a baseline or advanced assessment of physical capacity that includes cardiovascular capacity, speed and high-speed bursts, reaction and agility, endurance, fatigue index, musculature, and more, with over 250 indexes.

INDIVIDUALS

As an individual, you will be taken through multiple endurance and technical drills that replicate a practice or game. You will be wearing a STATSport vest and heart rate monitor to accurately record your data. 

​

Once complete, you will receive all of the metrics recorded to provide an accurate baseline assessment.

Teams​

Similar to individuals, your team will be taken through multiple endurance and technical drills that replicate a practice or game. All members will be wearing a STATSport vest and heart rate monitor to accurately record the teams data. 

​

Once complete, you will receive all of the metrics recorded to provide an accurate baseline assessment. You will be able to see which players are stronger in certain areas and which players may need some improvement.

Checklist

 development

After the baseline physical capacity assessment, you may partake in developmental sessions that will train your physical abilities. We use our StatsSport software to assess your progress, engage with you outside of training, and monitor your progress throughout your time with us. 

​

INDIVIDUALS

During your individual development sessions, you may partake in 4 or 8 developmental sessions. During these sessions you will train your endurance, heart rate, speed, and much more! Once these sessions are complete, another assessment will be done to assess the progress made. All data will be provided to you in a formal report.

teams​

As a team, you will also choose to participate in either 4 or 8 developmental sessions where we will work with the athletes to train their physical ability. These sessions may include us coming out to your practice or game where we use our equipment to monitor and track the players stats. At the end of the sessions, another assessment will take place where we will compare the results.
